Family Accounts - Descendants of Anna Rosine Fetterman & Heinrich Gernhardt

In doing genealogical research, some of the things we look at in the absence of family stories are family bibles, census images, wills, land records, etc. While these give us some clues as to how our early ancestors lived, it is not often that we come across detailed information that makes these individuals come alive and gives us insight into their struggles, joys, or sorrows of life. Heinrich Gernhardt and His Descendants, written by Jeremiah M. M. Gernerd, contains many personal accounts of the descendants of Anna Rosine Fetterman and Heinrich Gernhardt, and 29 of those are offered here. (Note: The only alteration to Jeremiah’s writing here has been to increase the generation number to coincide with how these people descended from Balthasar Fetterman, Anna Rosine’s father.)
