John D., Clara A., Hannah M., and Bessie M. Fetterman

John Dervin Fetterman was the son of Hannah A. Billig and Peter Fetterman. Clara Ann, John's wife, was the daughter and eleventh child born to Mary M. Leiby and David Kreisher. Clara's parents are buried in the St. Paul UCC Cemetery in Numidia.

John was a Columbia County farmer and life-long member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation at Numidia. He and Clara were the parents of seven children—Rufus, Esther, Hannah, Martin, Bessie, Edna and Amos. Hannah Magdalene was the third child born to John and Clara. She was educated at the Bloomsburg Normal School. She was an elementary school teacher in the Columbia County school system for her entire teaching career, having taught in several one-room school houses in Franklin Township, the Swamp School and Lawrence School. She even taught her own nephews, the four sons of her youngest brother Amos Fetterman— Tom, Dick, Roger, and Harry. Hannah was quite active as a 4-H advisor with the Mt. Zion 4-H club. She died unexpectedly on June 5, 1987, the day after her 85th birthday. Bessie Mae was the fifth child born to Clara Ann and John Dervin.
