Isaac, son of Hannah Leiby and Simon Fetterman, married Sarah Longenberger, daughter of Lena Levan and Jacob Longenberger of Roaring Creek Township, Columbia, PA, on May 16, 1880. The marriage was announced in the Catawissa News Item on May 17, 1880. Isaac and Sarah lived in the Aristes section of Conyngham Township, Columbia County, PA, where Isaac worked in the coal mines. Nine children were born of this marriage:

Mary Alice Fetterman (b. August 1, 1880 – d. 1963), married Charles E. Rhodes;

William Wallace Fetterman (b. March 26, 1882 – d. January 29, 1915), married Rebecca Jane Weller;

Edith May Fetterman (b. June 18, 1885 – died December 1987), married Harvey Francis Koons;

Ralph R. Fetterman (b. August 9, 1887 – d. February 8, 1955), married (1) Hannah Mae McElhenney and (2) Rebecca Jane Weller Fetterman;

Several years prior to her death, Sarah had gone to live with her son Orie and his family in Shamokin. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Aristes and belonged to the Ladies Aid and Auxiliary of the church. At the time of her death, she was survived by six children, 25 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
They are buried here with their children Irene Cleo and Nestor Norman.
