Peter was the son of Anna Hannah Leiby and Simon Fetterman. He married Hannah A., daughter of Saloma Fahringer and John Billig on May 12, 1873, at St. John Lutheran Church in Catawissa, PA. Like many other Fettermans, he was a farmer. Peter and Hannah had eight children. As can be seen above, the writing is deteriorating on this headstone even though it is newer than many others.
