George Fetterman
December 29, 1779 - September 5, 1860

St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Numidia, PA

George was the son of Catharine and Johann George Fetterman. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Leonard Saul on July 29, 1806. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to a farm near the village of Numidia, PA. After his father died, his mother Catharine came to live with them and died there in 1812. George and Elizabeth were blessed with 12 children—nine sons and three daughters. He and his wife are buried next to their twin sons who died in infancy.
