Mary C. Chamberlain & George Adam Patterson

George was the oldest son of Maria Tinsman and Abraham L. Patterson of Weatherly Borough, Carbon County, PA. About 1875, he married the Mary C. Chamberlain. Mary was the oldest of five children born to Hannah J. and Jacob Chamberlain of Sereno Village in Pine Township, Columbia County, PA.

They made their home in Weatherly Borough where George worked as a brakeman for the Lehigh Valley Railroad. Of this marriage, four children were born:

In 1900, the family was living in Weissport Borough in Carbon County where George was now working as a carpenter. By 1910, they were living back in Weatherly where George had bought a home on Butz Street, and he was now working as a fireman. After Mary’s death, their widowed daughter Adah was living in the home with George.
