Charles Oscar, Jr. and Josephine Bonenberger Fetterman with Her Mother, Laura Bonenberger

Charles was the second son of Jennie Toleatha Ressler and Charles Oscar Fetterman. He married Josephine, daughter of Laura C. and Joseph Bonenberger. At the time of the 1920 Census for Suffolk Village, Schuylkill County, PA, Josephine's father was working as an assistant foreman in the coal mines. He was a first-generation American, his parents having both been born in Germany, and her mother was a full-blooded Scot. Josephine was one of eight children. There were no children born of this marriage.

After Josephine's death, Charles moved from Centralia, PA, to Allentown, PA, where he lived with his sister, Marie C. Fetterman Patterson, and her daughter, Mary Jane Patterson. When Charles became ill with prostate cancer, he eventually went into Liberty Nursing Home in Allentown, Lehigh County, PA, where he died. He left the bulk of his estate to his niece, Mary Jane Patterson. Josephine's mother, Laura, is buried here with them.
