Harvey Americus Gernerd

Harvey was the second son born to Elemina Gackenbach and Charles Alfred Gernerd. He married Annie M. Dieffenderfer sometime after January 1, 1886. There were no children born of this marriage, and they subsequently divorced. In 1887, Harvey was working as a clerk for F. Hersh & Sons. In 1889, he was working as a car builder in Fullerton, and in 1890, he was working as a laborer. The 1910 census for Allentown, PA, shows that Harvey was living with his widowed mother and was working as a laborer doing odd jobs. By 1920, he was boarding with a widow and her children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and working as a helper in a shipyard. He died soon after this census.

This branch of the family descends from Anna Rosina Fetterman and John Gernhardt.
