Mazie K. Fetterman and Joseph C. Burrows

Maizie was one of eleven children born to Sarah A. “Salome” Adams and Franklin Fetterman, a farmer from Roaring Creek Township, Columbia County, PA. She married Joseph Burrows, son of Margaret and Benjamin W. Burrows of Bloomsburg, on June 4, 1910, in Bloomsburg, PA, by the Rev. Spencer C. Dickson (License #8001). The marriage was announced in the Democratic Sentinel on June 7, 1910.

They made their home in Bloomsburg where Joseph worked for the Magee Carpet Company in Bloomsburg, and two children were born of this marriage:

  1. Harriet F.; and
  2. Russell C.

Previous to his marriage to Maizie, Joseph was first married April 4, 1906, to Catherine Pasch of Hazleton, PA. Catherine died in November 1936 of Bright’s disease and was laid to rest in the Rosemont Cemetery. There were no known children born of his first marriage.
