Harriet F. Burrows

Harriet was the oldest of two children born to Mazie Katherine Fetterman and Joseph C. Burrows in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, PA. She attended Bloomsburg High School from which she graduated in 1931. For 30 years, she was employed at the Hills Private Boys School of Pottstown where she lived and was supervisor of the laundry department at the Hills School where she retired in 1976.

Harriet was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bloomsburg, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association. She was a member of the Bloomsburg Lodge No. 279 Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, and she was also a charter member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She never married and passed away shortly after her brother Russell.
