Edith was the daughter and one of nine children born to Sarah Longenberger and Isaac Fetterman, born in Aristes, Conyngham Township, Columbia County, PA. She married Harvey Francis, the son of Catherine and Cornelius Koons, on November 24, 1910. The marriage was performed by the Rev. M. M. Dry in Aristes, Columbia County, PA. They settled in Mt. Carmel Borough, Northumberland County, PA. At the time of his registration in the draft of World War I (September 12, 1915), they were living on South Chestnut Street in Mt. Carmel, and Harvey was working in Delano, Schuylkill County, PA, as a car inspector for the Lehigh Valley Railroad. According to his draft registration, he was born July 15, 1878. Of this marriage, two children were born:
As of 1930, they were still in Mt. Carmel where they owned their home. Both children were attending school, and Harvey was working as a salesman in a confection store. Headstone documented May 30, 2004. |
