Benjamin was one of seven children born to Sarah A. Krick and Samuel Fetterman of Aristes, Columbia County, PA. He married Elsie M., daughter of Anna and Warren Smith of Danville, Montour County, PA, about 1927, and they made their home in Danville. Benjamin worked for Merck and Company in Danville until his retirement in 1962. Of this marriage, their only son Gene was born. At the time of his death, Benjamin and Elsie were married 43 years.
