Nola M. Fetterman and David W. Blue

Nola was the second of four daughters born to Catharine Lewis and William Fetterman, and she was born in Dutch Valley, Columbia County, PA. On October 16, 1915, she married David W., son of Emma Wetzel and Isaiah Blue, who was born and reared in Frosty Valley, PA. The marriage was performed by the Rev. Charles D. Zweier in Sunbury, Northumberland County, PA. They made their home in the Rupert area of Bloomsburg, Columbia County, PA, where they lived throughout their marriage. No children were born of this marriage.

In their early marriage, David was working as a trucker. When he registered for the World War I draft in 1917, David was working as an apprentice for Grover Shoemaker at the Aquaduct Mill in Bloomsburg, PA. When he registered for the World War II draft in 1942, he was working for the American Car & Foundry Company in Berwick, PA. At the time of his death, he had just retired July 1 from the Magee Carpet Mill.

Nola was a member of the Rupert Methodist Church, and they were married almost forty years at the time of David’s death.
