Madeline L. George and Earle Franklin Fetterman

Earle was the son and third of five children born to Leah May Manning and David F. Fetterman, and he was born in Berwick Borough, Columbia County, PA. About 1927, he married Madeline L. George who was also born in Berwick Borough, daughter of Mary Jane Terrill and Oliver W. George. They made their home in Bloomsburg, and three sons who are all still living were born of this marriage.

Earle worked for Hartzell Chevrolet for thirty-five years. He worked for thirty years as their service manager and retired in 1975. Previously he had worked for R. G. Buckalew and also Croop Motor Company in Berwick. After his retirement, he worked several years as a watchman for Hanover Brands Foods.

Earle was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks, and he had been a member of the Moose. Madeline was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Prior to her death, Madeline moved back to Berwick Borough.
