Adam Roy was the son of Sarah A. “Salome” Adams and Franklin Fetterman, and he was born in Catawissa Township, Columbia County, PA. Known as Roy, he was married twice. His first wife, the former Minnie I. Adams, died in 1920. One child was born of this marriage:

• Harold Leroy (b. August 15, 1915 - died February 28, 1960).

He married a second time in 1923 to Hannah Margaret Moser, and by this marriage, two more sons were born:

• Arthur E. (b. August 21, 1926 - d. May 1, 1998); and
• Donald Vincent (b. March 21, 1934 - d. June 6, 1979).

Roy worked as a carpenter all of his life, and he retired in 1956. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Catawissa. At the time of his death, he and Margaret had been married fifty-three years.
