I, Lydia Fetterman of Conyngham Township in the County of Columbia and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

And first, I direct that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

As to such estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, viz:

FIRST: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Francis Fetterman, one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, real, personal and mixed, absolutely, subject however to a debt, on a judgment note, that he owes me of Two Hundred Seventy-six Dollars Ninety ($276.90) cents with interest thereon from May 3, A.D., 1916, at the rate of four per (4%) cent per annum, and should he pay said sum prior to my death, then he shall receive his full one-fifth (1/5) share, but if he does not pay said sum prior to my death, then said sum shall be charged against his one-fifth (1/5) share thereof.

SECOND: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son, Curtis Fetterman, the one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, real, personal and mixed, absolutely.

THIRD: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter, Matilda Kostenbauder, intermarried with H. D. Kostenbauder, one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, real, personal and mixed, absolutely.

FOURTH: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter, Bertha Griffiths, intermarried with Benjamin Griffiths, one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, real, personal and mixed, absolutely, subject to the following conditions—

The sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars is to be deducted from her share because I have already advanced her that amount.

I have loaned Benjamin Griffiths, husband of my said daughter, Bertha Griffiths, the sum of Seven Hundred Twenty-six ($726.00) Dollars, and if the said Benjamin Griffiths should not pay that amount prior to my death, such sum or sums due to my said daughter, Bertha Griffiths, shall not be paid to her, but credit shall be given to the note which I hold against said Benjamin Griffiths.

FIFTH: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter, Roxie Blass, wife of Fred Blass, one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, real, personal, and mixed, absolutely, provided however that the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars should be deducted from said one-fifth (1/5) share because I have already advanced her that sum, and because I desire that each one of my children shall be treated alike, and it is my will that each one of them shall receive one-fifth (1/5) of all my property, and that any debts that they or their husbands owe me shall be deducted from their share, and any monies that I have heretofore advanced any of them shall also be deducted from such share.

I request my Executors not to sell my household furniture, but to davide [sic] same equally among my five (5) children aforementioned, provided they so desire such a division.

I hereby authorize and empower my hereinafter named Executors to sell any and all of my real estate, either at public or private sale, and to give the purchaser or purchasers thereof good and sufficient deeds of conveyance for same.

And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my son, Curtis Fetterman and my son-in-law Fred Blass, Executors of this my last will and testament.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, Lydia Fetterman the Testatrix, have to this my will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal, this Ninth day of May, A.D. One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Sixteen (1916).

Lydia Fetterman
(SEAL)

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above-named Lydia Fetterman, as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto, in the presence of said Testatrix, and of each other.
